La energía operada por la EPE durante marzo registra un incremento del 53,7%

El dato se compara con los primeros días de igual período del año pasado. Durante el fin de semana la cifra superó el 90% de consumo.

La Empresa Provincial de la Energía (EPE), a través de su Centro de Control de Operaciones, monitorea el estado de la red provincial y las variaciones en la demanda de la población en el ámbito de su jurisdicción.

El dato llamativo de los primeros 11 días de marzo, en comparación con igual período del año pasado, muestra un incremento de la energía operada del 53,7%, sustentado, entre otros factores, en la utilización extraordinaria de la electricidad para climatizar ambientes.

Durante el fin de semana, donde habitualmente la demanda disminuye, este sábado y domingo marcaron un incremento del consumo de 90,4% y 93,9%, respectivamente, comparando con igual período del año pasado.

Cabe destacar que, desde el viernes pasado y por cuarto día consecutivo, la provincia de Santa Fe superó marcas históricas de demanda de potencia con 2.717 MW, incremento que se dio fundamentalmente por la demanda registrada en las ciudades de Rosario y Santa Fe. También se anotaron ayer cifras inéditas en el Sistema Argentino de Interconexión: 29.078 MW.

Estos datos permiten inferir, entre otros elementos, la importancia de realizar una auditoría de la declaración real de la potencia informada a esta distribuidora eléctrica, con el objeto de adaptar las instalaciones a esa nueva realidad, fundamentalmente en los segmentos comerciales de altos consumos.

Las autoridades de la EPE analizan esta situación que, de persistir en el tiempo, redunda en exigencias exponenciales sobre la calidad de servicio, que se profundizan ante situaciones de esta naturaleza.

Estos registros se dan durante el desarrollo de la novena ola de calor en el país, que impacta también en la provincia, en un contexto del tercer fenómeno anual consecutivo conocido como La Niña, con térmicas que superan los 40°C de temperatura.

The Provincial Energy Company (EPE), through its Operations Control Center, monitors the state of the provincial network and the variations in the demand of the population within its jurisdiction.

The striking data for the first 11 days of March, compared to the same period last year, shows an increase of 53.7% in the energy operated, sustained, among other factors, by the extraordinary use of electricity for air conditioning.

During the weekend, when demand usually decreases, this Saturday and Sunday marked an increase in consumption of 90.4% and 93.9%, respectively, compared to the same period last year.

It is worth mentioning that, since last Friday and for the fourth consecutive day, the province of Santa Fe surpassed historical records of power demand with 2,717 MW, an increase that was mainly due to the demand registered in the cities of Rosario and Santa Fe. The Argentine Interconnection System also recorded yesterday unprecedented figures: 29,078 MW.

These data allow inferring, among other elements, the importance of carrying out an audit of the real declaration of the power reported to this electric distributor, with the purpose of adapting the installations to this new reality, mainly in the commercial segments of high consumption.

The EPE authorities are analyzing this situation which, if it persists over time, will result in exponential demands on the quality of service, which will increase in situations of this nature.

These records occur during the development of the ninth heat wave in the country, which also impacts on the province, in a context of the third consecutive annual phenomenon known as La Niña, with temperatures exceeding 40°C.
